LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Two men are in the hospital, one in critical condition, after a shooting overnight at a Lexington Waffle House.
Police responded to the Waffle House on Georgetown Road around 3 a.m. Sunday.
When they arrived on the scene there were no victims.
Police got a call shortly after that two people had shown up at UK Hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim, a 19-year-old male, was shot several times, he was listed in critical condition.
Officials say the second victim, a 25-year-old male, was also transported to UK hospital by a personal vehicle.
Homicide and Robbery detectives are investigating the incident. So far no names have been released.
"We were told it was a rather large disorder, and we don't know exactly what happened that led to these two being shot - if it's a situation where they were hit by stray bullets, were they shooting at each other? That's something the detectives are still trying to figure out," noted Lexington Police Lieutenant Chris Van Brackel.
