The UK basketball Wildcats apparently have added a non-conference opponent, and Big Blue fans no doubt will boo the head coach as soon as he appears.
The University of Buffalo will visit Rupp Arena on Nov. 16, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein. Buffalo is coached by Bobby Hurley.
The former Duke point guard led the Bulls to a 19-10 record and the Mid-American Conference East Division title last season, his first as a head coach.
Hurley, who has had an interest in thoroughbreds for years, has made several trips to the Bluegrass for the Keeneland sales. He owned 2001 Kentucky Derby contender Songandaprayer,.
Hurley was part of two NCAA title teams at Duke, in 1991 and in '92, the Blue Devil team that beat the UK squad that would become known as "The Unforgettables."
The Wildcats have never played Buffalo; they've twice played Canisius, which is located in Buffalo.
The Wildcats will open the season Nov. 14 season against Grand Canyon University. Kentucky also will play exhibitions with the University of Pikeville and Georgetown College.
Kentucky's other non-conference opponents include Kansas, Providence, Texas, Eastern Kentucky, North Carolina, UCLA and the University of Louisville.
