LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK students retraced their steps on State Street Saturday morning, looking for lost keys and phones.
The quiet street presented quite a different picture Friday night after the Cats big win over Louisville.
Hundreds of fans stormed the street setting several couches on fire and throwing beer bottles in the air.
Fans crowd surfed and perched on roofs.
A stop sign was ripped from the ground and carried through the crowd.
"This was the most exhilarating experience of my life. I've never been so excited for basketball," said Taylor Zaborski.
“Just look around it doesn't get much better than this. This is the full college experience, fireworks, cats, women, it doesn't get much better,” shouted Clayborn Snowden.
Keily Potts thinks emotions may have been running a little too high during the celebration.
"It got a little out of hand, when the girl fell and busted her head open that was crazy," she said.
Police say this year's State Street celebration was much tamer than 2012's celebration where fans flipped cars and threw beer bottles at officers.
Students say even though the celebration was crazy, this is what March Madness looks like in the Big Blue Nation.
"Pandemonium, just straight nuts," said Allen Ayunijam.
"It was big and it was blue and it was madness!"Potts said.
Police say they arrested one person for alcohol intoxication during the celebration.
