LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)-Across campus, UK fans are reacting to the 88-58 loss the men's basketball team suffered against the Volunteers Saturday.

"I watched the beginning," explained UK student Ashley Philips. "I stopped at half-time. I know we're usually a second-half team, but it was all down hill from there."

"With the season we had last year and the promise of this freshman class, it is not a good thing to see," commented UK student Jesse Hunt.

UK student Kara Coleman chimed in "We need Nerlens!"

the loss is the wost Coach Cal has seen since he bounced onto campus.

"I don't know if much can happen," Hunt said. "This might be a lost season."

Now, many fans question if these Cats can rebound and dunk a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

"Losing to Tennessee by thirty---we made it to the top 25, but we blew it," Adam Goodin, a UK student said.

"It's over," Coleman said.
