LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington family will soon be the proud owners of a new home, thanks to some UK students!
The family of four have lived in Lexington since 2009 when they moved here from Burundi where they lived in a refugee camp.
The mother, Nadine works for The University of Kentucky, and many of her students are involved.
The students are part of three university organizations, which have raised nearly $43,000 for the home.
The family's six year old says she plans to decorate her room blue since the home is going to be built by UK students.
