UPDATE: Golden Alert canceled for Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky (WKYT) - A Golden Alert has been canceled by Laurel County.

Officials say that 72-year old Pearl Gene Miniard was found safely in East Bernstadt.

Miniard is 5'9" with gray hair and brown eyes, walks with a limp, and may be suffering from Alzheimers.

He was last seen wearing a gray shirt with a 'G' on the front and a Blue work coat and a pair of brown work boots.

Miniard walked away from his residence at 6665 South Hwy 25 in Laurel County sometime overnight on Saturday January, 5th and may be attempting to get to the Pittsburg community of Laurel County.
