U.S. Forest Service recreation managers propose fee increase for Koomer Ridge

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - U.S. Forest Service recreation managers are proposing a fee increase for Koomer Ridge Campground in Wolfe County, Kentucky.

The fee would increase in November of 2013 from $7 to $10 and again in November 2015 to $14. The current camping fee was implemented in 2000.

The proposal to change the fee is to help fund campground maintenance and improvements. The fee change proposal wil be presented to a citizen advisory committee for review first.

The next committee meeting will be announced soon, meetings are open to the public.
