A line of strong to severe storms will race across central and eastern Kentucky over the next several hours.
BREATHITT CO. Ky. (WKYT) - Federal investigators say an unmarked utility line is what caused a DEA helicopter to crash in July of 2013.
The chopper went down while searching for marijuana. The National Transportation Safety Board says the helicopter clipped the utility wire, causing it to crash. That wire was not visible on a navigation chart.
The N.T.S.B. says the wire served a coal mine that is now closed and was not reported.
The pilot and a state police trooper suffered minor injuries in the crash.
