Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
Several chances of rain and some much milder air will be the focus of the forecast this week. We'll even be talking about thunderstorms toward the end of the week. That's the price you pay to see temps climb to these levels this time of year.
A disturbance will bring rain to that area by Monday evening for most. Maybe a little later for folks in Eastern Kentucky. The rain/snow line will be just off to our north in parts of Ohio and Indiana. Just a reminder that winter is still here.
By midweek we'll see highs jump into the 50s and even the 60s for some folks. That's the good stuff, but it will also fuel those storm chances we were talking about earlier. While chances of reaching severe levels looks low right now, we could see some strong storms develop. It's always something we have to watch closely with unseasonably warm shots of air.
Enjoy these milder temps.
