Victim in Clay County crash dies from injuries

A crash on a busy eastern Kentucky road has turned deadly.

A crash on a busy eastern Kentucky road has turned deadly.

The Fayette County Coroner says Jacob Lucas, 21, of Russell Springs, died at UK Hospital Sunday night.

The crash happened Friday afternoon on the Hal Rogers Parkway in Clay County, near Manchester.

Investigators say Lucas' truck crashed into a car that was sitting in stopped traffic in a construction zone.

The coroner says Lucas died of blunt force injuries.

His funeral is being handled by Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs.
