POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A man was supposed to learn his sentence for manslaughter on Wednesday, but he'll have to wait two more weeks before learning his punishment.

A jury found Brian Epperson guilty of driving under the influence in November 2011 and causing a car crash that killed Donald Tharpe.

A Powell County judge delayed Epperson's sentencing because some paperwork needed for it to go forward had not been finished.

Tharpe's family was in court, ready to hear Epperson's punishment. They say they're disappointed they'll have to wait until February 20.

"I want him taken away from his family like our Dad was taken away from ours," said Tharpe's daughter, Peggy Plowman. "We'll never see Dad again, they still got him."

Ploman says her family plans to be back in court for the next hearing.
