Search on for suspects in violent Laurel Co. home invasion

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The search is on for suspects after a violent home invasion in Laurel County.

The sheriff's office was called to a home on Dogwood Lane in the Lily community south of London early Tuesday morning.

A woman told police two men ambushed her outside her home. Deputies tell us the woman then says the men forced their way inside where they beat her and her husband with clubs before threatening them with a gun.

the sheriff's office says the suspects got away with prescription medication and cell phones. The couple was treated at the scene for cuts and scratches.

Deputies tell us the couple did not get a good description of the men, one was wearing a ski mask, the other had on face paint.
