SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (AP) - An 800-foot section of Interstate 77 in West Virginia has been replaced after a massive natural gas line melted guardrails, burned utility poles and left a huge hole in the highway.

The Tuesday afternoon blast about 15 miles from Charleston also flattened four homes and damaged five more but caused no deaths. Reducing output would drive up prices, which in turn would lead to even weaker demand during the present economic hard times.
