Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
What a weekend, what a weekend! That was 100% the best weekend we have seen all year, even though a couple of us saw a shower or two on Sunday. Those temperatures continue this week as we start with today as highs rise to the mid 70s under mostly cloudy skies. Today will be much like Sunday as most of us stay dry, but there is a small chance at rain. The next couple of days feature a big time warm up as we will be 15°-20° above average for this time a year. Highs Tuesday and Wednesday should settle around 80° with both days having a slight chance of rain.
Going into Thursday we will see a cold front move through the region that will bring along showers and thunderstorms. Right now we can't rule out any strong to severe storms. Once this front rolls through we will see a substantial cool down from the 80s to the 50s. At least we aren't talking about dropping our highs to the 30s anymore, right?
