General showers will be the main action over the next few hours. A few could remain on the strong to severe side in eastern parts of Kentucky.
Clouds are slowly breaking this evening and that will lead to a touch of fog later tonight. Lows will drop into the low 50s for most areas.
Tuesday into Wednesday will see thermometers take off. Highs will soar to around 80 degrees under a partly sunny sky and just a small threat for a boomer.
Thursday will see some changes working in from the west. The pattern continues to favor a big cut off low pressure developing near the region by late week into the weekend. As I’ve mentioned before… tracking exactly where that sets up will be crucial in determining just how ugly our weather can get.
The models are a little slower with this storm and that would mean a little better weather is possible for Oaks and Derby.
