Watching a late week snow threat

Posted: Wed 2:04 PM, Jan 23, 2013

Our frigid weather continues across central and eastern Kentucky. Another arctic front is blasting through here this evening and this will bring some light snow and flurries to parts of northern and eastern sections.

This front will reinforce the cold air already in place. Readings tonight will head into the low and mid teens as skies slowly clear. Temps for Thursday will be colder than what we've had out there today. Most areas will stay in the low and middle 20s.

The next system taking aim at the region arrives on Friday with a round of snow. Accumulating snow is a good bet with this storm, but it's too early to talk about how much may fall. The fast movement of the storm should keep totals on the light to moderate side.
