Our weekend is off and running on a very windy note across the bluegrass state. Gusts of 35mph will be possible into the evening hours.
A weak cold front slides in overnight with a small shower chance. Lows will hit the 30s. Saturday looks good with sunshine and highs in the 50s.
Things begin to go downhill quickly on Sunday as a developing winter storm takes aim at the region. This will bring rain, snow and a wintry mix our way through Monday.
The greatest threat for wintry weather appears to be across the northern half of the state. This is the area that could pick up accumulations of snow and ice before all is said and done.
Cold and windy weather will linger into Monday.
