Water main break closes U.S. 23

ASHLAND, Ky. (WKYT) - Authorities have closed all lanes of U.S. 23 in Ashland due to a water main break.

Water covered the road between 42nd and 43rd streets around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Workers are detouring local traffic along adjacent city streets.

Trucks and commercial vehicles are being detoured onto I-64, U.S. 60 and other roads.

State officials expect the road to be closed most of the day.
