Rounds of showers and storms continue to push across the region. This action is packing a lot of lightning and heavy rainfall. Flash flooding is possible through Wednesday.
After a long night for the south and east these snow showers will continue to fall until around noon time before things start to wind down. Eastern snow will be the focus, but for most of us we are looking at a fairly nice day with a mix of sun & clouds. Our highs each afternoon have become warmer and warmer, which doesn't look to let up today with highs in the low to mid 30s.
Valentine's Day will feature snow for those snow "lovers" through the day. Snow showers should begin after noon time with even some rain in the southern zones. I-64 northbound looks to receive the best snow out of this in which a couple of inches is definitely possible.
Heading into the weekend Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Come Monday a surge of warmer air moves in and boy will this be welcomed with open arms! We could be looking at a few 60° into the end of next week. My thought is, "bring it on!".
