A stormy weekend is on the way to the bluegrass state. We have the potential for rounds of strong and severe thunderstorms to move across the state late Saturday through Sunday.
These storms could produce damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes. Dangerous lightning and torrential rainfall could also cause some issues.
The prime time for the severe threat will be Saturday evening into the overnight and then again Sunday afternoon.
Outside of the storms on Saturday, temperatures will flirt with 90 degrees with very humid skies.
A strong cold front swings through here Sunday night and brings a big blast of fall temps our way for next week. Highs will generally run in the 70s from Monday through Wednesday with lows getting close to 50.
