Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine and Madison Counties until 8:20pm EDT.
Even though it is this early in 2014, a run in the 80s can't be downplayed. It will be fabulous! While humidity levels won't be quite up to the levels of Summer, it will be slightly more noticeable by Sunday.
There is a very small chance we'll see a stray shower during the afternoon and evening hours across parts of Kentucky. I even think that Southern Kentucky might be the bulls-eye for the stray shower chances. Those chances aren't that high either.
The new work week will include chances of showers, storms, and maybe even a few flakes of SNOW. What a week! We start with a rain chance arriving for Monday. A frontal boundary will slip into the area and prompt these storms to develop. Some could be on the stronger side as the front moves through Kentucky.
The snowy side of this system dives in on the tail end of the system. The front will bring a significantly colder airmass. Cold air catches up with lingering moisture and that could mean a few flakes will be floating through the area. This all comes after temps run at 80 this weekend. Amazing!
Have a great weekend
