Rounds of showers and thunderstorms rolled across Kentucky on Friday. An area of low pressure will continue to sweep in from our west. As it passes over us on Saturday we will have a more enhanced chances of showers & storms.
The threat of heavy rains will run through Sunday. In many cases we could pick up another 1" to 3" in some rare cases. For most of us those totals will stay on the low end. In the areas that see some of those higher numbers we could run into high water issues.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Sunday. This will be more of a break for most of us. The coverage will go from widespread to mainly scattered Sunday afternoon. The word scattered will be tossed around even more as we head into next week.
Some pretty cool air is bottled up in Canada and it looks to make an appearance here next week. So our summer continues to run on the cool side.
