Bands of heavy snow are now working through Central Kentucky. By the time this system ends on Thursday some areas will pick up more than 1 foot of snow.
The feel during the morning reminds me of the beach. A nice steady breeze with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. However, that beach feel will go away very quickly as we slide through the day. The front moves in this afternoon dropping temperatures to the 30s by the time you get home from work this afternoon/evening. That will allow the morning showers to turn into snow. Light accumulations are possible, but I'm not seeing a big issue out of this one. Another thing to note will be the winds gusting from 30-45 mph.
Heading into tomorrow we moves all the yucky stuff on out of here, but the cold sticks around for the moment. Highs tomorrow reach the upper 30s to lower 40s under mostly sunny skies. Remember that during this time a year these cold shots only last for a day or two. Come Friday we are back in the 50s and 60s with nice weather.
The weekend will be slightly sloppy with only a slight chance of rain on Saturday. For Sunday we are looking at either rain or snow, but right now I'm leaning toward rain.
