Rounds of showers and storms continue to push across the region. Flash flooding is the main threat tonight into Wednesday.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Everything was upbeat and positive as Kentucky prepared to practice Monday afternoon. The Cats travel to Ole Miss Tuesday night, hoping to rebound from their 69-59 loss to Florida Saturday.
Assistant coach John Robic filled in for John Calipari at Monday's news conference. "We watched the last eleven minutes and twelve seconds of the game, disected that, because that was the game." said Robic "Saw what they did, in a lot of ways that's what we need to do. We saw what we did and we now know the adjustments that we have to make, and the players really, really understand that now."
"Especially at winning time." said senior guard Jarrod Polson. "Maybe the last eight minutes of the game. We've just got to really focus in and not have any defensive lapses, box out and just do all the little things that will help us win."
"We just had some mental breakdowns." said freshman guard Aaron Harrison. "Some rebounds we didn't come up with, some free throws. Florida's a very good team but we definitley can play with them and we just made some mistakes down the stretch that we shouldn't have made."
Kentucky defeated Ole Miss 80-64 in Rupp Arena the first week of February. Tuesday's game will tipoff at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN.
