Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
The cold isn't going anywhere just yet! Another night of brutally cold temperatures is upon us. Several counties will go under a Wind Chill Advisory beginning at 4am on Thursday morning.
A disturbance will move into Kentucky during the overnight hours. This system will bring a chance of more light snow and a reinforcing shot of cold air. Winds will also pick up with the arrival and departure of the system. That will be the focus of our wind tonight.
Temperatures will range from -2 to 3 above zero tonight. When you factor in gusty winds that could be up to 20-25mph you run into problems. The Wind Chill will come in at -5 to -15 throughout the morning and into the afternoon. That's when the winds should begin to calm some. There will still be plenty of cold in here for Friday though.
Another round of snow moves in on Saturday. We are again watching that for accumulation potential.
More updates will be coming!
