LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - High wind created a safety concern in downtown Lexington on Thursday.

Emergency crews closed part of Main Street and the sidewalk along Chase Bank because of concern the wind might knock a loose window from the high rise.

Firefighters climbed 70 to 80 feet up their ladder to remove the outer portion of a double pane that had come loose.

Firefighters took the three to five foot pane out and have since covered it with duct tape.

The road reopened around noon on Thursday.
