Winter doesn't want to loosen it's grip...

Posted: Thu 5:24 AM, Mar 14, 2013

We continue with well below average temperatures for this time of year as highs today only reach the lower 40s. That is 10°-15° below average. Winter doesn't want to loosen its grip with the temperatures and the weather. Mix of sun and clouds today, but toward the afternoon/evening we will see a weak disturbance fly through the state hinting at a rain/snow mix, especially for the western half of the viewing area. Most will not see accumulation, but a few spots could see those bursts of snow that drop a coating on the ground. Nevertheless, I still don't see major impacts out of this system.

We better enjoy Friday as highs will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s under partly cloudy skies. The days after appear to be damp as multiple triggers flow through the region sparking showers starting Saturday through next week.
