Winter weather moves back in the forecast

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from this evening through early Friday morning for most areas along and north of I-64. For a better look just click on the link of my Facebook page at the bottom of this post. These areas can expect very light ice accumulation, mainly at or below .1".

Typically for major power outages and problems on the roadways we look for areas to receive .25" of ice, but these amounts should be well below. The farther you go north of I-64 the better likelihood of seeing issues from freezing rain. I still don't see major roadway issues in our viewing area, but remember the possibility still exists, so keep that in mind as you travel late tonight into early Friday morning.

The warm front moves north of us Friday which will allow our temperatures to climb in the mid to upper 50s with a dry afternoon in store. The weekend shapes up nicely with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the 40s.
