SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) -- A woman is recovering in the hospital after a violent crash in southern Kentucky Sunday morning.

It happened on Pine Hill Road about five miles east of Somerset.

Police say Brian Overby, 30, lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic. He was then hit by a north bound car driven by Tonya Wilcher, 36.

Wilcher was treated at the scene and then airlifted to UK medical center.

Hospital staff tell us Wilcher is listed in fair condition as of Sunday night.
