Rain and a mix continues to work into eastern Kentucky as temps drop into the 30S. The next round of mix and snow slides in late this evening into tonight from the northwest.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Lexington Fire Department had to use their jaws of life apparatus to cut open a pickup and remove one person.
The crash happened at 10 Friday morning at the intersection of Manchester & Forbes.
A pickup truck and a dump truck hit head on. Firefighters cut open the pickup in order to get a woman inside, out. Her legs were trapped under the dashboard. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At one point, nine different fire and EC units were on the scene.
That intersection is closed while crews work to cleanup the crash scene.
