Woman escapes house fire without injury

Updated: Mon 10:35 AM, Dec 03, 2012

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) - Investigators are looking into the possibility that an early morning fire, that forced a woman from her home, was intentionally set.

Crews in Georgetown got the call around 3:00 a.m. Monday on North Hamilton Street.

A shed caught fire there, and the flames then spread to two nearby homes.

A woman inside one home said flames woke her up, and she was able to get out without any injuries.

WKYT spoke with fire investigators in Scott County. They said that they are still working to determine the exact cause of the fire, but say it appears it may be arson since there was no electricity to the shed where the fire started.
