Woman fights back during robbery

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A woman told Lexington police she fought back during an overnight robbery.

It happened on Spring Street, in a parking lot behind The Lex apartments on South Broadway.

Police say the victim was approached by a man who tried to steal her purse.

She told police she resisted, and struggled with the man until she thought she saw a gun.

The man got away with the purse. Police later found it a few blocks away with several items missing.

Police do not have a good description of the suspect.
