FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Winning Final Four tickets was as easy as logging onto Facebook, finding a contest and predicting the final score of the Sweet 16 game between UK and U of L for Mary French.
"My brother had 'liked' AddieUp on Facebook and they had it advertised on there to win tickets to the NCAA Final Four games. So I was like ok, well I'll do this," said French.
The creator of AddieUp, an energy supplement, is a Louisville chiropractor named Mike Baker. He said about 500 people tried to win the tickets by predicting the final score of the Elite Eight game between the Cats and the Cards.
"So many people got so close. People had picked the score on the other side, with the Cards winning. And when we found out that Mary had won, we were thrilled," said Baker.
French said she thought winning was too good to be true, saying, "Almost was thinking it was an April Fools joke. But yeah, I was kinda shocked."
But it was no joke, and now the die-hard Cats fan is heading to Arlington to watch UK take on Wisconsin this Saturday.
Mary says she'll be taking her brother, who lives in Louisville, but is also a huge Cats fan.
