Woman hospitalized since January crash dies

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The night of January 14th, police say Keenan McLaughlin was involved in a crash on Georgetown road that killed Luis Gonzales.
Well we've learned that crash has yet another victim, who died here at UK hospital yesterday morning.

A family member of Geneva Rose Spencer reached out to one of our staff and told us Spencer died from her injuries after being hospitalized since the crash.
We confirmed with the coroners office that she died from complications due to multiple blunt force trauma.

Keenan Mclaughlin isn't facing any charges related to the accident yet, according to the jail website.
Police say he ran from the crash scene on Georgetown road, and ended up in a standoff situation with police off Elm Tree Lane on the north side of town for several hours the next morning.

WKYT has learned from the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office that an indictment was presented to a grand jury on Monday relating to the death of Luis Gonzales.
It is likely now, though, that prosecutors will revisit the grand jury given this latest development.

Just before the crash, Scott County Sheriff's deputies had been in pursuit of McLaughlin after he took off from the scene of a drug investigation.
