Woman killed in shooting; suspects arrested by police

DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - We're gathering new details in a shooting that's now become a murder.

Police have confirmed that a woman shot in a Danville home Wednesday afternoon has died.

The shooting happened in an apartment on Longview Drive just after 3 p.m.

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Mellisa Luna-White.

Police also told us they have arrested two suspects in the case.

Danville police say 27-year-old Lamar Stallworth has been charged with murder, burglary, and wanton endangerment while 23-year-old David Harlan faces complicity charges.

Witnesses say the whole thing started as a fight between three men on the porch of an apartment on Longview Road.

Moments later shots were fired into the screen door.

Some witnesses say they heard as many as four gunshots.

"He said he happened to hear some noise and he came to the door and there were two guys and then something about they shot a gun," said witness Ladonna Ball.

Police say they've only recovered one casing.

At this time they say the motive is unclear.
