Woman killed in deadly crash in Harlan County

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police say a woman is dead after a crash in southern Kentucky.

Police say it happened around 7 p.m. Sunday, on south highway 4-21 in the Cranks Community of Harlan County.

We're told Robert Blanton, 55, of Cawood, lost control of his vehicle, and struck a concrete barrier.

Blanton was taken to Harlan ARH.

Police tell us his passenger, Mary Helton, 49, also of Cawood, was pronounced dead at the scene.
