Some storms are possible during the morning and afternoon on Tuesday. Damaging winds and flooding will be the main threats. With an already soaked ground, expect strong winds to easily bring down some trees.
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Kentucky husband returning from the Middle East got a big surprise Wednesday from his wife. They hadn't seen each other in almost nine months, and in that period of time she had lost 99 pounds.
"For me it hit a crucial point three years ago when my mom died from obesity related diseases," explained wife Karen Hunnicutt. At her largest weight and her lowest point, Karen was 287 pounds.
"I just basically cried out to God. I didn't know what the answer was, and after I did I saw a commercial for a program, and I thought I'm gonna try it."
For nine months, Karen stuck to a program that was working.
"I didn't tell him about it because I had raised his hopes before previous deployments I had said, 'I'll lose the weight and you'll come home to your bride.'"
With her new program, pounds starting dropping, and Karen's self-esteem started soaring.
"It's the girl who's not afraid to dream anymore. The girl who can go after and live life," she said, "I want to see the surprise on his face. That is what I've been working for. I want to see the look on his face."
Karen's husband CWO5 Stephen Hunnicutt told WKYT she looked great, and that he had always loved her for the woman she was on the inside.
