Woman punched, robbed in carjacking

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A woman says she was punched in the face and robbed.

Lexington Police got the call to Deauville Drive, near Versailles Road, around one Thursday morning.

The victim told police that two men, who she was familiar with, asked to borrow her car. She refused and instead offered them a ride.

Police say when she dropped them off at a park, the men punched her in the face and threatened to shoot her. The woman was able to get away, but the men took off in her 2003 Volkswagen Passat. Police say the car is blue-gray in color, with a Kentucky license plate of 927-FJK.

Police are questioning someone in the case, but say no charges have been filed at this time.
