Woman tries to hide from Barbourville Police by fleeing through trap door

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say a woman used a hole in the floor of her trailer to try and hide from police.

Barbourville Police were notified on Thursday of two suspicious men in the Union Plaza Parking lot.

Police searched a car belonging to Larry Dye, where they found pills, cash and meth.

Later Police went ot his home, where they say his wife, Amy Dye, tried to escape through her home's trap door, leaving her two small children behind.

Police found her hiding under the trailer and arrested her.

Police say there was a meth lab inside the home with the children. The children are now in the custody of social services.
