Woman found dead in barn

A Somerset woman has been found dead in an eastern Pulaski County barn. The Sheriff's Department reports finding 58-year-old Myrtle Bratton after someone called 911 Wednesday morning to report finding the body in a barn off Barnesburg Road east of Somerset.

Deputies say Bratton did not appear to have suffered any
obvious trauma. Family members told investigators she had been staying with a friend in Indiana and they had not been able to contact her for several days.

Investigators are looking into circumstances surrounding the death and an autopsy has been schedule for Thursday at the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office in Frankfort. Results of the autopsy will help investigator learn what happened to the victim and what may have led to her death.

Deputies say, at this point, there is no obvious sign of foul
play.
