LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A death investigation is underway in Lexington after a woman's body was found near a vehicle at Village Apartments.
The Fayette County Coroner has identified that woman as Uta Nyberg, 52, of Lexington. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday to determine what killed her.
Construction workers called 911 after spotting Nyberg laying on the ground on South Locust Hill Drive. When fire officials arrived, they determined she was dead, and contacted police.
The Lexington Police Robbery/Homicide unit and the Fayette County Coroner's Office responded.
They don't know how long the she had been there. The coroner will now determine the woman's cause of death. Police say they do not believe foul play is involved.
