Woman's purse stolen while buying lottery ticket

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- A woman trying to buy a lottery ticket became the victim of a robbery.

It happened at a Shell on Richmond Road in Lexington Wednesday night.

Police say when she placed her purse on the counter, a man grabbed it and ran out the door.

She chased after him, but was hit by a car in the parking lot.

We're told the woman was not injured. So far police have not made any arrests.
