LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Two women face charges after a burglary at a Lexington apartment complex.

Lexington Police say they saw the suspects run into another apartment at Silver Tree Apartments on Cross Keys Road when they responded to a burglary report around 7 a.m. Tuesday.

After officers arrived to interview the women, witnesses say they took off out a back door.

The women, whose names haven't been released, were later arrested.

Investigators say they found stolen items in their apartment.

It is unclear whether they knew the people living in the the apartment where the burglary took place.
