SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Work is underway in preparation for a new interchange in Scott County.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says core drilling started Wednesday morning on I-75 and Cherry Blossom Way. The work is taking place between mile makers 126 and 128 on I-75 and between mile markers 12 and 13 on Cherry Blossom Way.
Crews say most of the work will take place from the shoulders. Signage and traffic control devices are in place to alert drivers. The interchange is being built to alleviate traffic on Cherry Blossom Way from the Toyota plant.
