Work resumes on Lexington's CentrePointe project

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Work has resumed at the CentrePointe project in downtown Lexington.

Construction had been put on hold while crews waited for rebar to arrive to allow workers to begin putting concrete on the 700 car underground parking garage.

Developer Dudley Webb has applied for $30 million in state bonds to help pay for the garage. City leaders have to give support to Webb before the bond application can move forward.

The council will vote on the recommendation Thursday night.
