Workers dealing with bitterly cold temperatures

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It's no secret that it's bitterly cold outside. Many of us can find warmth indoors, but what about those that have to work outside?

Some across Lexington spent the day outdoors working in the freezing temperatures, including crossing guards, construction and car wash workers.

The weather is also having an impact on some businesses. One contractor we talked to said for some jobs, you just need to wait for a warmup.

Contractors told us one of the reasons workers limit outside work when the temperatures are this cold is because it's tough on the machines.
