Wrong number lands woman in jail

IRVINE, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say a woman in Estill County sent a text to someone she thought could get her two oxycodone pills, but the message accidentally went to a police captain.

Irvine Police say Kassie Hardy sent a text message out, wanting to get two oxycodone 10 mg tablets for $10 each. She sent the message to the wrong number though, and it went to Captain Adrian McKinney of the Irvine Police Department.

Captain McKinney arranged the meeting and set up a deal with Hardy.

When police say Hardy showed up for the deal, she brought along three children, ages 2, 4 and 11 years old. Social services were called in to care for the children.

Hardy has been arrested and charged with attempted trafficking of a controlled substance.
