FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Xerox is looking to hire 100 people to work in a Lexington call center to answer questions about acquiring health insurance coverage.
The company, which operates call centers across the country, has a contract with the Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange to provide information to people seeking coverage under the federal health care reforms.
Gov. Steve Beshear said federal funding will cover the cost of the startup, staffing and training for the call center through next year.
The call center is expected to be operational by Aug. 15, providing assistance via telephone, email and social media.
