INDEPENDENCE, Ky. (WKYT) - A young woman has died in a weekend crash.

It happened Saturday afternoon on Madison Pike in Kenton County.

Police say the car ran off the road, hit a telephone pole and went airborne.

The driver, Taris Todd, 19, was taken to the hospital where she died.

A juvenile who was also in the car suffered minor injuries.

Police say speed and wet roads were major factors in the crash.
