Posted: Tue 11:35 AM, Jun 19, 2012

A Clark County road has reopened after a serious accident Tuesday morning.

It happened on Muddy Creek Road, southeast of Winchester, around 7:30 a.m.

Firefighters say the driver ran off the road and hit a tree stump.

The young man, whose name hasn't been released, was taken by helicopter to the hospital.

Firefighters cut the driver from the car using the Jaws of Life.
